I looked for a ranked tier list and did not find one. What exists is one developer comment, a handful of player reports, and the HP numbers in the build.

What I checked
On 2026-10-28 a YouTube search for PokeSpire returned other games, not a tier video for this one. The Reddit launch thread is the only comment section I could quote.
The developer wrote “It’s too easy with Bulbasaur” and “I haven’t lost a run yet.” Players said Squirtle and Charmander felt harder, and that a Ground-type made Lt. Surge easier. Those are single-thread comments.

HP and abilities are build 20070350. The “why” column is only as strong as the comment next to it.

Teams that were reported, once
One player cleared Kanto with Venusaur, Dugtrio, and Magneton, and said a Ground-type made Lt. Surge much easier. Another cleared Johto with Typhlosion, Poliwrath, and Xatu. A third thought only about three defend cards felt reliable. I am not turning three reports into a card ranking.
Pikachu unlocks when you reach Act 2. Eevee unlocks after a win. Those gates are build text, not a community vote.
