What I checked
I compared three texts that name the unlocks: the build’s unlock hint, the Hoenn devlog (“Become Johto’s Champion to open it”), and the developer’s Reddit reply that Hoenn is there for anyone who has beaten Johto.
I am not publishing a fixed path. The build treats the map as a fresh seed. What stays put is the act names, the gym floors, and who the champion is.
The three runs
Act names and champions are from build 20070350. Hoenn’s champion is also named in the devlog.

What carries over
Catching a line can unlock that Pokémon as a future starter. Beating Mewtwo adds a Master Ball to later Kanto runs. Beating Red adds a Lucky Egg. Beating Rayquaza adds a Shell Bell. Those rewards are build text, checked 2026-10-28.
Difficulty text in the build calls Johto harder than Kanto and Hoenn the toughest region so far. The Hoenn devlog uses the same idea.
