Roamers and secrets

PokeSpire legendary Pokémon

A legendary is a random node, or a fight that exists only after you beat the champion. It is not a prize for walking into the first area.

What I checked

I did not see a legendary on a screenshot. The title screen and a normal battle are here so the page is not a wall of text. The locations come from build 20070350, and the Hoenn names are repeated in the Hoenn devlog.

One Reddit player said they missed Articuno in Act 1 and met Mewtwo at the end. That matches the roam rules and the post-champion cave. It does not mean Articuno is guaranteed on the first map.

How a roam works

In the build, each act has a 45% chance to turn one wild or mystery node on floors 8–11 into a legendary. Each species appears at most once per run. Roamers flee after 4 turns. A Fast Ball is ×3 against a fleeing species. A throw still costs 1 energy.

The catch chance is clamped from 2% to 95%. Legendary species multiply it down (the build uses 0.45 as a class factor; with an additional species multiplier of 0.25 for Mewtwo or 0.3 for the weather trio). A Master Ball hits. I am not printing a single “catch percent,” because HP, ball, and status change it.

By region

Hoenn’s names are in the devlog and the build. Kanto and Johto placements are build text plus the one player comment.
