PokeSpire Johto guide
Johto is locked until you are Kanto’s champion. The official starter screen is the only Johto screenshot, and it is the one that explains day and night.

What I checked
On the Johto starter screenshot I can read a day/night note and a “caught partners 0/10” counter. I do not have a Johto map image, so I am not reusing the Kanto map here.
Gym teams below are build-only. Johto’s Kanto-clear requirement is from the build only. The Hoenn devlog and developer’s Reddit post concern the separate Johto-to-Hoenn unlock; all are the same publisher.
Day and night
Floors alternate day and night. Some Pokémon appear only at night. At night, Dark and Ghost moves gain +2 damage per hit. That line is on the starter screenshot and in the build.
Night species I can name as examples from the build’s time table: Hoothoot, Spinarak, Gastly, Houndour. The full list is longer than this page. These four are examples, not the whole night dex.

Lance, Silver, and the secrets
Elite Four in the build: Will (Jynx, Slowbro, Xatu), Koga (Ariados, Venomoth, Muk, Crobat), Bruno (Hitmontop, Hitmonchan, Onix, Machamp), Karen (Umbreon, Murkrow, Gengar, Houndoom). Champion Lance uses Gyarados, Aerodactyl, Charizard, and two Dragonite.
Silver stands on floor 6. His team grows by act. After Lance, the build lists Red on Mt. Silver (win for a Lucky Egg each later run), Lugia in the Whirl Islands, and Ho-Oh in the Bell Tower. Catching Lugia or Ho-Oh unlocks them as Johto starters. One player reported a Johto clear with Typhlosion, Poliwrath, and Xatu. That is a single report.
